What's Your Opinion About Admins/Mods On BU?

Lately, there has been plenty of chatter about either liking or disliking the fact that more admins/mods have been hired.

Out of curiosity, why not share your opinion here?

Who is/are your favorite admin(s)/mod(s)? Why are they your favorite?
Who is/are your LEAST favorite admin(s)/mod(s)? Why are they your least favorite? What behavior in admins/mods do you dislike? In what way could this be changed?

**This is not meant to be a "let's bash all the admins/mods", so please do not use it as such. By expressing your thought out opinion, it lets those on the administration team know how the players feel.**

**Admins/mods should not take constructive criticism offensively either.**

As for MY opinion, I think there are too many admins/mods. Until and unless the number of players increases, there is just no need for this many.

My favorite admin is Blueluna. She is friendly and helpful, to both new and old players. Most of the time when someone asks where a location/npc is, she will have them warp to a flute location and show the player where to go. I suggest that all admins/mods do, as much as possible. As players, if you're free, you can do this as well.

There have been things that I don't agree with on BU.
1) I feel that often times admins/mods DO instigate arguments/problems on BU. Some are quickly offended by simple words, and continue in the same behavior of the player they are correcting. For example: I call my neighbor a name. ... either my neighbor can just ignore it, and it goes no further, or my neighbor calls me a name.. and it goes back and forth. As the person in a leadership role, the admin/mod should choose the route which ends this. If the bad behavior continues, mute/maze/jail/ban... but deal with it in that manner, rather than add to the problem.

2) Offensive words.. In the rules there are two words that are deemed unacceptable, and it is also up to admins/mods to determine if other words are. However, this has to be an across the board rule.. if the players can't say it.. neither should the admins/mods, but I have seen this happen with more than one admin/mod.

Well that's just a couple things that I've come up with. Please remember to be respectful with your opinions and suggestions.

Oh I have another opinion... I feel that Larry should stop killing me so much in Guildhouse :P haha!

I'm going to paraphrase most of my long ass post from Kyle's "BU Improvement" topic because that explained the admin situation as best as I possibly could. Nearly my entire post still applies to the admin team today.

Most of BU's admins are a burden to the game, not contributing in helpful communication, instigation of arguments, and so many things I don't feel like listing. I made a list a while ago of the admins that don't seem to do this, and gave a brief explanation of why I believe they are an asset to BU.

Here are the active mods or the ones that CLEARLY show they have importance to BU:

- Blueluna - Why isn't she an HGM? One of the most useful moderators on here.
- Cirras - The main pixeler. A great asset to BU and is non-biased and just with his actions.
- Baby - Great potential, she's very helpful. Often gets involved in whatever instigation is started though. Could definitely be a great help if she isn't always defending part of the corrupt admin team.
- Ronny - Very helpful guy, he's still doing what he did to become part of the team and he is to be respected for that.
- Nurd - The main quest writer. A great moderator, doesn't instigate problems, and is always willing to help.

The rest are more or less burdens on BU. Either inactive, or just glorified players getting ahead with powers. Obviously with this list, you would need to hire maybe 3-5 more people, but hiring people with the potential to be great is better than keeping washed up, corrupt moderators.

Well there it is. As for my least favorite admin it would have to be a tie between Amytheevil and Evilqueen. I'm not listing why, because obviously I would somehow be banned or jailed in game for the opinion, so I'll just leave it at that.

My opinion is pretty much the same as everyone else's so far; a good number of the admins/mods contribute very little to the server. They allow the power to go to their heads, and on a number of occasions I have seen several of them instigate arguments with players. -Keeping in mind that I only really started playing two weeks ago, though I've had an account for a few years-

My favorite admins are BlueLuna and Eviloverlord; BlueLuna because she's nice and helpful. Larry because he makes the game fun, though it can be annoying when I get killed 20 times a night in the Guildhouse.

As for least favorite admins, I'm not going to name anyone, for fear that I'll be jailed or banned.

I will reiterate, that some of the admins/mods, need to get their heads in check, and realize that admins aren't there to be on a power trip. The admins need to understand, that if you make a set of rules that the players have to abide by, then you yourselves need to follow those rules.

If I start harassing another player, I will be either muted, or jailed, or banned... but I've seen admins straight up going after players for simply having an opinion, or making a post on the forums or the FB group, that they (the admin) don't agree with. And that's not right.

I've seen admins who will stick up for their friends to the point where they harass other players simply because their friend doesn't like that person. As an admin you need to be impartial, if you can't then adminship is not for you. I've seen admins allow their friends to get away with things that they've muted/jailed/banned other players for doing.

I've seen admins tell players that their opinions on the admins don't matter, and that our thoughts on how the game is run don't matter, but that's bull! If there were no players, there would certainly be no need for admins, and Kyle wouldn't bother having the server.

My favorite admin on BU is Blueluna & Amytheevil.
They have always been there to help me.
Blueluna has always been so nice to me and has taught me so much! she's a great women inside and out.
Amtheevil has been on this server for so long,when i started in v7-8 before the wipe she helped me out alot showed me where things were (taught me how to fish when fishing came out)
anyway,my point is Lisa & Amy have both been the best admins in my eyes.
As in helping/moderating the game.

For my favorite admins i would have to say..none. This is not for any bad reasons but its just i haven't seen any admins do anything to help this server BUT also take in count that iv only been back from not play BU for about 2-3years about..alittle less than 2 weeks ago so hopefully in coming time i will find an admin to call a good one but for now i can only say maybe cirras just cuz hes not annoying like the rest of them and doesnt bother anybody and he made all the super cool items for us

Well people, iam sorry for not being on as much as i was before, but during summertime i have alot to do besides BU. But when i'am on BU you can Always ask me for anything and i will help you all as good as i can.

I have no opinion on any mods due to the fact that I don't know them well enough to make an evaluated decision on them yet.
What I will say is that we do need a page in the forums or on the website that shows the higher-archy of mods. Who is a lower rank to a higher rank and a way to contact them if needed.

Hello everyone,

I am a new player. I have joined this game just a few days ago.
I am not extremely familiar with most GM, so this post is about my appreciation toward GM that I have come in contact with.

When I first started GM (Miss) Blueluna appeared out of nowhere and offered a lot of help.
Thank you GM (Miss) Blueluna. I would have been more lost without your guidance.

Other GM are very informative and responsive as well. I understand that at time GM were unable to response with much help, but they did tried their best.

Thank you all GM for monitoring game and keeping it a good gaming environment.
On another note, I would like to thank Agart for his guide. I have talked to him and he admitted that his guide is out of date; even so, some of the information include in Agart's guide is still beneficial to new player.

To add on, I also want to thank MamuHarami for his extremely useful youtube video on the Maze guide. Thank you for taking your time to put together such an amazing video. I could only imagine how hard it was for you.
